The concert in Skipton in July with KVU singers was something of the end of an era, as it was the last concert for a group of singers in the choir for many years and about to go on to further education all around the UK. We thank them, we will miss them and we wish them well. It was a great concert at a lovely venue where also Sweet Peace for Jerry was recorded.
Pendle Youth Choir’s own Samantha Oxborough and Jack Bowtell will form part of the entertainment for the opening event of The Old Library. We’ve peeled back the layers of history to reveal an Edwardian building at the heart of Nelson. Now it’s been beautifully restored, we’d like to invite you to discover Lancashire’s hidden gem. The event is Thursday 23rd May – 4.00pm – 6.30pm.
April 2013, and where better to spend springtime? Paris, of course. In a whirlwind tour our choral extraordinaire set off to cross the channel, stopping off for a performance at Canterbury Cathedral along the way. In France they entertained the elderly residents of Fondation de Rothschild and sang in the Eglise Evangelique Allemande, and Chartres Cathedral.
