Pendle Youth Choir’s own Samantha Oxborough and Jack Bowtell will form part of the entertainment for the opening event of The Old Library. We’ve peeled back the layers of history to reveal an Edwardian building at the heart of Nelson. Now it’s been beautifully restored, we’d like to invite you to discover Lancashire’s hidden gem. The event is Thursday 23rd May – 4.00pm – 6.30pm.
April 2013, and where better to spend springtime? Paris, of course. In a whirlwind tour our choral extraordinaire set off to cross the channel, stopping off for a performance at Canterbury Cathedral along the way. In France they entertained the elderly residents of Fondation de Rothschild and sang in the Eglise Evangelique Allemande, and Chartres Cathedral. Have a look at the full report, photos and video in our tour section.
Christmas is the choir’s busiest time of year. We’ve had lots of concerts, including Colne’s Christmas light switch on and lots of fun singing in supermarkets to raise funds for next year’s ‘tour de France‘. Our biggest concert of the season is the Christmas Concert at Colne Municipal Hall. Photos and video by AC Telfer
